Welcome to my lair,
where benign is brutal.
take a seat on my cushioned
conscience of cravings
for mystery and misery,
which both love company here.
look at the walls, where I’ve framed
every possible infirmity.
don’t go near the backdoor,
where reasoning made
its great escape.
you’ll get too close to the truth.
fear won’t find you
in garments of the free,
so clothe yourself in my darkened deeds.
submit to the parlor of negligence.
don’t hearken the voice crying take heed,
but unfold thoughts dipped in iniquity.
simply tune out the chains
that dare to break and make sturdy
the pillars that uphold what could be.
